About SmartSeeds

SmartSeeds grew from something simple: my love of teaching, creating, and connecting with others. Years ago, I started making preschool readiness kits to help parents and caregivers bring learning to life at home. It was a way to combine education with play, and to give families easy ways to bond while helping little ones grow.

Over time, life and SmartSeeds shifted. Moving to a remote island in the middle of the Bering Sea reshaped how I cook, create, and share. It also opened my heart to a way of living I had never experienced, and to the community that has welcomed us in. Today, SmartSeeds is a home for all of it: hearty recipes and pantry-driven inspiration at The Mossy Table, handcrafted jewelry and keepsakes through the Moss & Moonflower Boutique, and resources for navigating life’s changes and seasons.

At its heart, SmartSeeds is about growth and connection by helping people, wherever they are feel rooted, nourished, and supported as they plant new seeds in their own lives. Whether it’s through a recipe at the Mossy Table, or a handcrafted keepsake, SmartSeeds exists to nurture belonging and spark hope.
